Fulfilling a decade-long wish to be the rightful owner of “everything” from Crate & Barrel, Chesterfield County resident Cristin Lempke received the entirety of the upscale housewares and furniture store’s 9,340-piece collection this Christmas from her husband.
“I’ve always semi-jokingly told [husband] Tom [Lempke Jr.] that I would love to have anything and everything from that store, so this really is a dream realized,” said the 31-year-old Lempke, opening her four-piece ceramic Normandy bakeware set while sitting on the couple’s new $2,600 Delaney sectional grey sofa. “Everything in that store is just so ‘Us’-looking.”
Though he declined to give an actual figure, Mr. Lempke said he was set back “a pretty penny” by his massive Crate & Barrel purchase, which required 15 full tractor-trailer loads to deliver. However, he said he’s already started saving for his wife’s second most-requested wish: all of Jared.
