Feeling the aching hangover after the effect of consuming nearly 13 low-carbohydrate beers and an “unknown handful” of Jagermeister shots last night, area resident Pete Colley said today that he’s “feeling a little rough” and seems to have purchased of the full Mamma Mia! digital soundtrack.
“Last night was crazy. Got so freaking bombed over at Kappa Sig. My head is killing me and throat is so dry,” said the mentally and physically battered University of Richmond student, who appears – sometime between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. – to have downloaded from iTunes all 18 tracks of the hit Broadway musical and 2008 Universal Pictures motion picture.
“Funniest thing though, when I woke up, you would not even believe what I found on the computer,” said the 21-year-old, who today has already chugged seven glasses of water, hit on about the same amount of women last night, and – perhaps subconsciously – enjoys the stage play about a young woman trying to find her father before her wedding, as told to music performed by Swedish pop group ABBA. “I mean, the title track from the movie is kind of catchy, but I’m not sure how [the whole Platinum album] got on [my laptop].”
While he could not find his receipt, Colley estimated that he may have spent around $40 at the bar, or slightly less than triple the cost of the musical’s soundtrack, which peaked at No. 1 last month on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
The college senior added that he planned to “never drink that much again, seriously this time, I swear,” but made no mention of whether he would again attempt to half-jokingly French kiss two close male friends as he did late yesterday evening.
