Ranked the No. 1 blog in the city by RVANews.com in 2008 and a recipient of the Blog of the Year award by Richmond Magazine, Tobacco Avenue is Richmond’s most accurate source of misinformation. More than 36 billion Richmonders got their news from Tobacco Avenue each and every day. It published from late 2007 to early 2011. These are the archives.
Though it sometimes deals with actual events, Tobacco Avenue is completely fictitious. It is written solely for the purposes of satire and entertainment. All names are invented in stories, except when public figures or well-known people and organizations are being satirized. If a name turns out to be real, the instance is purely accidental and coincidental.

About time!
Just found your blog after Kelly (Rambling along from a stern point of view) sent it to us….very fun! Keep up the good work.
Great stuff. Rock on!
Love the site! Thanks for smartly making fun of Richmond! Yeaaaaaaaa! We are big enough to be satirized!
Thank you for a Richmond-based Onion.
What? This stuff is not true? Oh,Oh, I could be in trouble.
Love this blog!
You rock!
Who are you??? This is the funniest thing to come out of Richmond in a long time. I find myself checking the website several times a day and emailing your “news” to displaced Richmonders around the country. People are now getting tired of me talking about TA, and are getting annoyed. The irony in Richmond is often unbelievable- thank god someone is finally doing something about it. Maybe you could become a super-hero and start crashing some Richmond events- expose the rediculous! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
This is a great blog. Keep scooping all the bull shit out of this city for everyone to smell.
you maka me laugh
The Central Virginia Progressive enjoys the wit and effort to make Richmond better for all
The Central Virginia Progressive is a self important bit of political propaganda.
I thought the Richmond Times Dispatch had the corner on misinformation, being little more than a propaganda rag wrapped around the coupons like my wife likes to clip.
so where’s the coupons?
coolest Richmond blog I’ve seen in a long time! I’m linking you!
the internets should be a serious place for the further development of the human species. you people and your sick brand of “humor” are a disgrace. this type of content has no place on somewhere as important as the internets. grow up and try to be mature, and stop insulting my intellijence you knuckleheads.
